ILSE ROSE WARG'S BOOK
German Life in WWII and Beyond
(How Civilians Survived and Rebuilt)
This is NOT your typical history book. Retired language professor Dr. Ilse-Rose Warg shares the history of Germany--from the economically unstable post-WWI years, through the Nazi regime, WWII, and finally the occupation and division into two countries—through two parallel techniques. First, via a fictional “Stammtisch” of representatives from different German social classes, and second by using the real-life experiences of her own family and how they survived by maintaining their Christian faith and traditions.
